The Beauty is very nearly ready to roll out to the carport and to begin the riding season. There’s no immediate hurry to get riding as it has been snowing off and on today! But after several hours over the weekend and a few more hours during the evenings this week, the scoot is all back together but for the chrome bumper on the front and a cleanup and wax and then she will be ready for riding.
I’ve lost 4 of the plastic push pins that hold most of the body panels together so I’ll be stopping at the Yamaha store on my way home from work today. I also have 3 screws left over, 1 typical body panel screw and 2 matching, odd screws that I cannot find a location for them to fit. Tonight I’ll have another look at the service manual to see if I can find where they belong but I’m not taking much apart to install them if they aren’t critical.
I am so anxious to go for a ride! There’s still the little scooter waiting for me to put the engine back together, under its cover that will go into work once I finish up the Tempo in my driveway for the eldest boy. And I’m going to have to get the lawnmower out of the shed here really soon!
